Wolf Creek continues to be one of Atlanta's best daily fee venues. Played on
Sunday the 6th, and found the conditions exceptional.
Tees, fairways, and bunkers in great shape. The greens here are among the city's
best.... smooth, true, and seemingly devoid of un-repaired pitchmarks.
I have always liked the layout here, save for # 11.... a short, downhill
3Par. I never seem to get the yardage right.
Staff is very knowledgeable and courteous.
Range balls were provided at no charge prior to the round.
Not OVERLY busy, and pace of play was acceptable for a Sunday ( about 4.25
hours).
The new clubhouse is well on its way to completion. Randy indicated
they'll be moving into it by October. A nice change from the trailer that I've
become familiar with.
A definite must-play west of the city !!

A golf buddy and I played 18 this June.
Outside of the temperature, the course
was in really good shape.
We booked the tee time and received a nice
discount.
I would
recommend this course anytime.

I play with a regular group here and the course has been playing great since the
spring.
It is a tough course with a few blind tee shots but overall very fair.
The greens and fairways are
in really good shape especially for a public course.
My only complaint used to
be the lack of a permanent clubhouse but that is under construction and coming
along nicely.
Twilight
rates are decent and not too much of a wait as well.

Played 6/26 and forgot how much I love this course.
The fairways are in good
shape as always though there are many dead/sandy spots where some weeds must
have come through.
Thankfully they didn't affect play too much.
The greens are in good shape as
always though were heavily covered in pesticides (keep your hands clean
throughout the round).
The
clubhouse is coming along though the trailer suits my needs just fine.
Beverage
cart was around several times during the round which was great on a hot day.

Played Wolf Creek for the first time on Saturday, June 27. After reading reviews
describing blind tee shots,
I was a little concerned but after playing I give
the course layout a high rating.
The blind shots are no big deal because there is nothing "tricky" on the other
side. Course is in TERRIFIC condition.
Great starter and very effective marshals
on the course.
Well-spaced
water jugs and the beverage cart came by about six times.
The range is nothing
special, but does have a large clock so you can keep track of your time.
This is
a quiet course with houses
on (I believe) two holes only-- the rest of the course could be in the middle of
nowhere rather than Atlanta.
Fair pricing for a great day of golf. I'll be back.

Played here on Fathers Day, June 21.
Nice range, and VERY competent starter who
used adequate force via loudspeaker that the E***** group get going on the #1
tee.
After that hole
and a bit of a log jam, it was perfect.
We played as a 2some on Sunday morning
and only waited on a few holes. The conditions were perfect.
Greens were
flawless, fairways were
perfect.
If I had to find a nit, some of the tee boxes needed some attention,
but only like 2-3 and it was minor. I used every club in the bag!
Wished the cart lady had some regular coke.
This is my new course replacing the once mighty Trophy Club in Alpharetta.

Played Sat 6/13. Course is in fantastic shape tee to green.
Sometimes it was
even easier to hit from the rough because you got a little fluff, but that is
not an indictment on the fairways
having real tight lies, just an observation.
Love the scenery and natural
features of this place too - saw a deer and several crazy looking birds.
Always
feel like I'm transported well away
from city when I'm here.
Back to the play: the healthy breeze made an already challenging club selection
even more difficult.
This course will test every aspect of your game. Elevation
changes, dog legs, blind tee
shots, carries over water, you name it.
Only reason for not giving 5 stars on the
layout is the 60yd downhill par 3 - really just a pet peeve of mine, but good
for playing closest to the pin!
They were running about 30 min behind but did provide complimentary range balls
to make up for it.
There were some issues with sending people off in the right
order/pairings, but
once we were off, it was a hassle-free, well-paced round.
Extra credit for
raked, sandy bunkers, cart girl being around several times and plenty of water
coolers. Cheers, guys.

Played out on Sunday June 7 and felt like I owned the place.
Awesome condition.
For a course so close to downtown, not a lot of people on the course.
I did not
want to post because
this place looks like a secret and I wanted to keep it that way.
Looks like they
are building a clubhouse so it may not be long until its crowded.
Get out before
the rush!

Played the course for the first time on 5/31 and I was very impressed.
Just as
the previous post says, the fairways are perfect, greens are smooth and roll
very true.
If you are playing it
for the first time, I would recommend a playing partner who has some course
knowledge.
There were a few holes that I would have played different had I known
what the entire hole
looked like.
There are a couple of blind t-shots, but nothing to tricked up.
We
played the gold tees at 7005 yards, but most of the extra yardage is in the par
5's.
This seems like a course
that gets better each time you play it.
I'll be back!

Play Sunday. One of the best condition courses in Atlanta.
Greens are rolling
very true and have a good pace. Best fairway's around, period!
Staff and service
was first class. Like the laid
back friendly approach.
Always make you feel welcome. Glad to see they have
started on the Club House, this will top it off.

I have sent direct responses to the golfers that played Wednesday, expressing
our intent to satisfy them.
But rather than have this one day overwhelm our
feedback board, we would like
to give some explanation.
We have just started construction on a new clubhouse.
Wednesday was our first day open since we moved our temporary building and the
entire staff was
concentrated on getting things back to normal.
We apologize for not having
rangers on this day but with a small number of golfers on the tee sheet for the
entire day,
it was something
we thought we could go one day without.
In general, our rangers are effective at
keeping pace moving in what everyone would believe is the most contentious part
of managing any
course.
As previous posters mention the course is in excellent shape. Although
we appreciate honest feedback, we would always prefer the opportunity to fix
issues on the day of play
and at the course. Our philosophy is make you happy before you leave.
Again, thanks for the patronage and we hope to see you soon.
