RIVERPINES

Overall great experience other than the fact two of our party of 4 paid $5 less....
Clubhouse was unwilling to correct the mistake.
Greens were relatively slow but in great condition.
Will definitely be playing there again.

Played on 6/25. I've played this course many times in the past and it's an acceptable layout but a little short with few interesting holes.
17 is an interesting par 5 that's reachable in two with a good drive and a lengthy second over a creek.
Service on the course was good...saw the cart girl twice in 9 holes.
Service in the clubhouse is generally good but occasionally spotty depending upon who's working that day.
Greens were very slow...don't think they had been cut in the morning but otherwise ok except for a few ball marks.
Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape.
Course has a great driving range that can accommodate lots of players. Short game area is so/so. There's also a par 3 course that can be played.
Range balls are included in the price, so that helps make this a reasonably good value.
The main thing the course has in its favor is the convenient location and some interesting views of the Chattahoochee River.
There are better values, but if you don't want to drive far it's worth a play.

Played this course for the first time a couple weeks ago.
I found the course to be a GREAT value !
Found the narrow tree lined fairways challenging and loved the overall layout of the course.
I would rank River Pines above similarly priced courses in the area that I have played recently
(Trophy Club of Atlanta and Woodmont).
Only negative was the club house amenities and the staff's seemingly unwillingness to give me a cart until 2 minutes before my tee time
(made me feel rushed).

Played River Pines Friday, June 12. The course overall is in good shape and is well maintained considering how much it is played.
The fairways had a few soggy spots, but considering it is in a river basin combined with summertime pop-up showers that is to be expected.
A few of the greens were a little rough from golfers not repairing divots correctly, but as a whole they were fine, but they played slow.
Your putts would always end up short. The players I was with, who are far better players than me, agreed.
The course marshal kept pushing us along even though no one was being held up behind us.
We were told there is a 2 hour time limit on the front 9 even though we were evenly spaced
between the group in front of us and the group behind us. That was a bit annoying.
The cart girls were really on the ball and the staff was beyond courteous. They were all exceptionally accommodating.
This is a fun course with some very challenging layouts. I would be satisfied paying up to $50 for a round, but any more than that might make me hesitant.

Played in scramble tournament on 6/8/2009 and course is in really good shape.
I know that other posts have complained about the greens but they were nice with the exception of the 9th which was pretty beat up.
These greens get a lot of play and stay pretty soft because the course is in a river plain but they rolled well and had plenty of grass on them.
I would say they ran about a 9. I can't comment on the value because I played in a tournament but I would say $50-$60 is right in line.
