Great course, played on a holiday. Very busy, and VERY VERY good pace of play. Never had to wait at all.
Greens running fast and true, showing some wear though with a few pitch marks.
Bunkers were in a good shape, considering the heavy rain that week.
Rough was REALLY deep and nasty, made for a frustrating round when you didn't get the fairway!
Layout is really nice, lots of doglegs and blind shots. Very target golf, but forgiving enough for the miss.
Fairways are still in great shape, due to the course being so strict on where you can and can't drive.
Cart girl was seen 5 times during the round, new carts, and the staff in the club house is second to none, some of the best around.
They just completed aerification and top dress 9/8/09, so give the greens a week or two to heal up!

Played July 19th. The course was in good shape. The greens were extremely fast.
In this area one of the best courses around.

This is a great course. Recently under new management, the new owner is making great strides to turn this into an immaculate course.
The front nine and back nine are now switched, and parts of the course that used to be junky hazard areas
are now a fairway and better integrated into the layout of the course.
The fairways, greens, tee boxes, rough, and bunkers are in great shape.
Greens rolling smooth and true, and quite quick.
Other improvements coming soon, are further leveling out of the tee boxes, and primary and intermediate cuts of rough.
I really enjoy the layout of the course, it's fun and challenging.
It's a hike from Atlanta, but when I'm only paying $30 for a course in this quality shape, I don't mind.

I really enjoyed this course. This was the first time I played the course and I was very pleased.
It's a bit of a drive, but worth the trip! It was Mother's Day, so I can't speak on how much use it gets on a normal Sunday,
but we only saw 2 groups, and one of those were just on a passing hole.
Greens were soft because of recent rain, but I can see these firming up really nice in the heat of the summer.
I will definitely return to Oak Mountain soon!
