For an executive course, The Hooch is one of the best.
Although there are no par 5's,you can use your driver on the par 4 holes.
Very nice practice facility. The course is very well maintained.
The course allows you to sharpen your short game skills.

Played The Hooch on Tuesday, June 2. The course overall is in fantastic
condition.
The fairways are clean with very few divots. The greens are in the
best condition I've seen on any
course this year.
The staff is always friendly and they keep the grass cut all
the time. There are no furry spots anywhere.
Big hitters turn their noses up at
executive courses, but if you
want to work on your short game (7 par 4s and 11 par 3s) and just have fun The
Hooch is hard to beat.
I paid $25 for a weekday before 10:00a.m.
The holes are
challenging with a lot
of water hazards and narrow fairways so don't think you will get bored.
You can get some great deals and play big courses for $35-$50, but try The Hooch
one afternoon for a
fairly quick round with your buddies.
The great condition of the course makes
the price well worth it.
However, if you hit a stray shot into the woods, forget it, take a drop and move
on.
The thick woods lining the sides of the fairways are filled with poison ivy.
It's not worth looking for
the ball.

Played The Hooch after work today. The course is in great shape.
The starter &
the rest of the staff I encountered were super-friendly and helpful.
The price
was great (I walked 18 for
$25). Pace of play was excellent - Just under 2 1/2 hrs.
This is a great course to play when you just gotta get out there and don't have
4-5 hours to spare.
This exec has 7 par 4's and some very challenging 3's.
The
greens are in very good
condition and run true and not too fast/not too slow.
While several are
contoured, it's not overdone and they are fair and fun to putt on.
The range is excellent and usually pretty crowded. They have a very large
putting green and a chipping green with a practice bunker.
My only knock is that
the chipping green is pretty
small and hard to get on because the practice area is so popular.
The clubhouse is tiny and there's not much there but they have all you would
really need - balls, gloves, drinks, snacks.
I'd rank The Hooch right up there with Charlie Yates in quality and fun factor
in executive courses.
