We played Hammer's Glen as a twosome on Saturday, August 22nd. It was my first
time at this course. It won't be my last!
This is a very well laid out course with the front and back nines being very
different.
The front winds through wooded hills while the back is more open. Doglegs both
ways, elevation changes, water and woods - this course has it all.
There is plenty of length for those who like to pound it, but the forward tees
make the course playable for the shorter hitter.
The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in very good shape, though the
ever-present un-repaired ball marks are a bit of an eyesore.
This course could easily become a "favorite" in our rotation.

Played the course on 6/22/09 and it was fantastic.
The tees were great, the
fairways were in real good shape, and the greens were awesome.
The service at
this course has always been top notch and the pace of play very good.
I have
never been out to this course and had a bad experience. Worth the drive!

Played 7/18 and the course is absolutely beautiful and in great condition.
Fairways were receptive and greens are recovering very well from aeration early
this month.
Greens are sloping and roll fast and true.
Course has a wide range
of elevation changes including about a 70 ft drop on the par 3 17th.
If played
from the tips, this course is quite challenging at over 7100 yards.
No beverage
cart and a small, poorly stocked clubhouse are the only negatives.
Pace of play was around 3 1/2 hrs for our twosome.

Played yesterday, 7/12. Fairways and bunkers in fine condition, greens punched
early last week.
Pro shop provided discounts for a return visit due to greens
condition.
Facility was understaffed compared to previous visits, although
impact was minimal with the exception of no beverage cart service.
Pace of play
was excellent.

Great course for those that can hit the ball from point A to point B.
Greens were
in good shape, fairways were plush.

Played Tuesday morning on 6/2/09. The course was in great shape overall.
The
greens on the front nine were in excellent shape and the back nine greens were
pretty good as well, but not a nice as the front.
However, all the greens rolled
true, I just couldn't read them.
The course layout is really nice with some
holes being tree lined and some holes are pretty open with elevation changes as
well.
I had actually planned on buying a shirt, but the selection was very limited and
they didn't have anything I liked.
As someone else stated in their review, there
wasn't a cart girl but I didn't expect one on a Tue morning.
I will say there
were coolers every few holes that had ICE COLD water in them, which was great!
I thought the value was excellent considering the condition of the course and
was a short drive down I-85.
Will definitely play there again.
