The Ga Club, once again, lives up to its reputation as one of the upper tier
daily fee courses in Atlanta. I played Thursday, the 1st of April... cashing in
a free round won at the recent GolfNow tournament here. Even at the rack rate,
this course is well worth it.
As always, Mike and his staff are second to none. Clubhouse merchandise is fully
stocked with ANYTHING you might need for your round, as well as great deals on
UGA and course logoed apparrel.
As might be expected this time of year, the grasses here are still dormant, but
meticulously maintained. Bunkers were freshly raked, as I found out from
frequent visits there.
The only downside to the round was the recent aerification. The greens were
still bumpy and sand-filled, and keeping a putt on line was a challenge.
The practise facility is top-notch, and free range balls are standard with your
greens fees.

Another outstanding day at the Ga. Club. Played Black and Silver nines, and was
allowed to photograph the Red nine (which was closed for maintenance).
Every time I have played this course in the past, the conditions have been
superb. Definitely, one of the finest venues in the Atlanta area.
A bit of a hike, but well worth every drop of fuel it takes to get here!
The only score not receiving a 5 were the fairways. That's only because there
were a few browned-out areas.
Probably due to the lack of frequent rain in recent months. Can't
really hold the course responsible!
There are houses bordering only a couple of holes on the Silver
nine....the rest of the nines remain peaceful and undeveloped.
The clubhouse is classy, and the pro shop has more merchandise than you'll ever
need.
Top-notch practise facilities, off natural grass, encourage you to
properly prepare for your upcoming round.
The speed and condition of the practise green is consistent with what you'll
find out on the course.
Pace of play is always excellent, as is the customer service.
Mike always remembers everyone's names, and treats all as if they were
card-carrying members.
Tees, greens, bunkers, etc. are well maintained on a daily basis.
The conditions at this course rival ANY private facility in Atlanta (without
having to put up with the snobbery!).
This is, without a doubt, my favourite place to play. If I were to join a golf
club, this would be the one.

I love driving out to this course! It's a beautiful course and the layout is
awesome.
It is as close as you can get to a championship course.
The greens were not in great shape -- they had been punched about a week ago and
were well on their way to repair, but putting was tough, even still.
From tee to the green, however, was in amazing shape. The rough is not an easy
place to play from, but fair, and the fairways are as good as they get!
It is a little out of the way for most golfers and a little expensive ($65 for
regular rates),
but if you want a great experience, head to Statham and try this course.
I can't wait until I can get back out and play here!

Can't knock The Georgia Club, just can't afford it very often.

Played the course on 6/4, in the afternoon. I found the course overall in good
condition,
the only draw back was the greens, they look to be healing from aeration that
had took place recently.
The fairways and tee boxes are in excellent condition just like carpet. The
course had just seen a good bit of rain and drained fairly well.
I enjoyed the round, this course has a few holes that are great birdie
opportunity's and a few holes that par is a good score.
I will definitely play there again.

Played in a tournament at The Georgia Club, my first time at this course.
Features 27 holes: silver, red, and black.
On this day we played the red and black 9s.
The course is gorgeous, boasting immaculate greens with challenging pin
placements,
beautiful landscaping with azaleas in full bloom, and an incredible course
layout with holes that play long.
The service for the tournament was outstanding! The staff's hospitality showed
that they appreciate their members / customers.
The clubhouse was nice with a pro shop that resembles more of a department store
than a typical pro shop with only golf equipment.
The course is expensive, but having now played at the Georgia Club, I can attest
that their rates are justified.
However, slightly cheaper rates would tempt me to play there more often.
