BENTWATER

I agree with the previous post about the layout. It is just to open and not overly challenging.
Having said that, the course is usually in good condition and service is good.

The course was in great shape, the greens very true (maybe a bit slow).
Cart lady came around plenty, and they actually have a BBQ set up near the ninth green, which can save you some time.
Prices were reasonable as well, as a hot dog was $3 and a cheeseburger $4.
Something about this course makes me think I won't play it again.
Too many wide open fairways, but I just didn't like the layout that much.
The care taking of the course is second to none, but I just wasn't a huge fan of the course in general.
I will probably generate some thumbs down for this opinion, but I just don't think the course is that remarkable compared to other Atlanta courses.

Course in great shape and wasn't very busy because of the heat.
I had not played here before so I had no idea where to play certain holes.
Drove through the fairway a few times on dog legs.
It would be great if they added yardage books to their carts. I will play it again. Nice course.

Played Monday 6/30/09 for $30. Extremely high value for the money. The fairway was in excellent shape, plush grass everywhere.
I played the blues, but noticed the whites were moved up even further from what the scorecard indicated (not a problem, just an fyi).
We were able to go off a few minutes early and completed the round in 4 hours flat. We flew through the back 9 in probably 1:45.
Saw the beer cart girl probably 3 times, which was adequate. Plenty of water coolers on the course as well.
The only downside was a couple of the par 3's had lots of unrepaired ball marks, but I guess that can be expected. I will be back.

I played this course June 21st. From the blue tees its a solid challenge. The greens and fairways were in great condition (similar to Woodmont.)
It was 67.00 on LMTT, which isn't much of a price break (we normally play for closer to 50.00)
I played with some semi-hackers, and we were moving a little slow out the gates.
The ranger let us know that there was a gap in front of us, so we picked up the pace big time!
About 5 holes later, he stopped and spoke to us again (after we had gained almost 2 holes of separation from the group behind us,
and said that people on the front 9 were complaining, and we needed to speed up?
Apparently he didn't understand that we were not the problem if we had that large of a gap behind us. Don't get me wrong, I love to play fast, ready golf...
but I don't care to be harassed when we have left the trailing group in the dust. All in all, great course...and I shot 39 on the back, which didn't hurt!

I played here on 6/22/09, using an LMTT red flag tee time. Course is in fantastic shape, maybe the best I have ever seen it.
It was not crowded, so I was allowed to play alone, which I had never done before. The fairways looked great, and the greens held and putted very well.
The cart lady came around a few times on this hot day. The course is fair but challenging, with some nice views on several holes.
I would recommend putting this course on your play list.

This a really nice course. I have played here three times. It is one of the most challenging courses around.
It has a variety of hole designs that keep you guessing.
It is a bit costly, so the value is not great, but I would definitely go back again for a less expensive twilight round.

Played at Bentwater on 6/6 and it was in great shape. I've played here before and the course condition was probably the best I have ever played it in. Challenging but fair.
Staff was friendly. Fairways were were in great condition and greens were in even better condition despite the fact I saw a lot of unrepaired ball marks.
Tee-boxes were good but a little long for my liking. May not have been mowed because of some recent rain.
The course was pretty crowded but play moved along very well. Also, they had a snack tent set up beside #9 green with snacks, drinks, and burgers.
I thought this was a great idea considering the fact that you have to go out of your way to the clubhouse at the turn if you would like something to eat or drink.
Not sure if this is a regular thing or just for a special occasion but it's a great idea. Not to mention the burger was excellent.
If you haven't played here I highly recommend it especially if you can get a LMTT tee time price.
Well worth it. #10 is probably my favorite, you really have to hit 2-3 quality shots for a par or better.

I played Bentwater on Friday, 5/29/09 for the first time. Greens fee was $54 for guest of a Cannongate member.
The course layout was challenging and the layout forced me to use most of the clubs in my bag.
The condition was good, but the fee was a little steep for weekday play. I will play there again if I can get a LMTT rate.
